Hi Reader, Summer's here in Spain - it went from 0 to full speed without warning. We were just in time to shear the alpacas (pics on Instagram), and I'm slowly adapting to the routine of taking an afternoon "siesta" break (when it's too hot to work anyway) and watering the garden every night. To stay on track with actual work-work, I'm hosting another planning workshop today (May 29th). Register or join via this link; and see dates for next months in the event calendar. In said event calendar, you might notice the summer months don't show the usual Monday coworking "power hours"; that's because I won't be running them (in the same way) after the end of June. Earlier this month, someone in the Charity Freelancers Coworking group shared a link to a coworking platform called Flown (that's a referral link). So over the past weeks, I've been trying their features and realising they're exactly what I want my coworking sessions to be... but better, and more flexible. From drop-in coworking to pomodoro sprints and guided "focus hours", there's something for everyone - and something for every mood, too. Come July, I might host a weekly coworking hour through Flown - or invite current regulars to join me in an existing recurring Monday power hour on the platform. TBD at the end of next month. In other news, I'm travelling to London in 10 days to attend Catherine Brown's Big Texas Table. Drop me a line if you're there too (at the event, or generally in London) and would fancy a meetup that week! For everyone else - hope to see you today for planning, Mondays in June for coworking, or sometime in the next couple of months for a virtual cup of coffee/tea! P.S. I did some email list maintenance, and this may be the first email you got from me in a loooong time. If it's not what you expected, update your preferences below - or send me an email back to tell me more! |

Hi Reader, Quick reminder - I'll be hosting a March planning workshop tomorrow at 15:45 Central European Time, 2.45 pm UK time, and 9.45 am Eastern US time, or horribly early if you're on the West Coast ;-) As usual this isn't about vision-casting and goal-setting, but about making sure we get done what we want to do in the upcoming month. Butter, my beloved meeting tool, is retiring (literally tomorrow) - so we'll be on Google Meet. register or join through here In other news... The past two...
Hi Reader, I hope you had a great start to the new year! Here in the middle of nowhere, Spain, the year started cold and cloudy... I can't remember using our back-up generator this often (just to fill up the batteries) for the whole time we've lived off-grid. The alpacas don't seem to mind though, I envy their thick layer of fleece! Anyway, I've got a couple of quick announcements & reminders for you today: This Thursday (January 8th), I'm hosting a 2026 planning call. No vision-casting and...
Hi Reader, Whether you worked through the holidays or took some well-deserved time off, I hope you had a great start to 2025. As you may know by now, I strongly believe that when we stick together and help each other out, we can each be better at what we do. And I don't mean just producing better results - but also being better at setting priorities, balancing work vs personal time, and generally feeling better about ourselves and our work. To that end, I'm hosting 3 different types of calls...
