End-of-summer lift

 Hi Reader,

Summer is out of control.

I just spent a couple of weeks in Belgium where it rained almost every single day - and I'm now back in Spain, where it's scorching hot and there's no real rain in sight, no matter how often we check the forecast. And I admit, I'm not great at working in the heat.

On the bright side, it's almost September. Usually, that means people get back to business - there's some networking to be done, courses to be launched, new offers to be promoted. For me, September is often one of the most exciting times of the year as I get to meet new people and brainstorm new projects. Because as much as I love my retainer clients, there's nothing like a new challenge to get inspired, get creative, and learn something new in the process!

Now, to combat my little end-of-summer dip, I'd love to get September started early - to turn it into an end-of-summer lift, as it were.

Maybe you'd like to join in on one of these?

  • I'd like to meet fellow online service providers with whom to collaborate. I would love to have some trusted contacts to refer leads to who need something else! Branding experts and email wizards, SEO specialists and tech geeks, new faces and old friends, you can reply to this email, send me a Slack message, or set up a call with me here.
  • I'm also offering 5 free website consultation calls - first come, first serve. If you're not sure about your messaging, wonder how to improve conversions on your main sales page, or you're worried your website is becoming your personal tower of Babel: grab a slot in my calendar and let's see what we can get done in 30 minutes (usually, a whole lot!). Or send the link to a friend who needs this!
  • Not ready to start moving right now, but need a solid plan for next month or quarter? Join me for my monthly planning session - we get September sorted out on August 30th. Register here!

It never hurts to get out of our little business bubble... can't wait to hear from you. Or see you next week at the planning workshop!

Hi Reader, Whether you worked through the holidays or took some well-deserved time off, I hope you had a great start to 2025. As you may know by now, I strongly believe that when we stick together and help each other out, we can each be better at what we do. And I don't mean just producing better results - but also being better at setting priorities, balancing work vs personal time, and generally feeling better about ourselves and our work. To that end, I'm hosting 3 different types of calls...

Hi Reader, December just sneaked up on us. Seems like yesterday, it was full summer (literally for some of us, as temperatures have been a rollercoaster in some places). And this morning, I did a quick count: here at SmartAlpaca, we have exactly less than 3 weeks to go before we close for the holidays 😮 Technically, we all know the end of the year doesn't need to impact our businesses in any way - but somehow, whether we're taking time off or not, it always does. If it's not us working less...

Hi Reader, I can't be the only one this happens to - when life gets busy (usually with client work), everything that's not on my calendar falls of my radar. My blog? "I'm sure I've got enough scheduled in advance still". Which is usually the case for a couple of weeks... until it's not. Social media? "Not essential". And before I know it, I haven't kept up-to-date with what others were up to for months. Which means I've missed out on big life events no one thought to tell me about because it...
