Here's to a happy, well-organised 2025!

 Hi Reader,

Whether you worked through the holidays or took some well-deserved time off, I hope you had a great start to 2025.

As you may know by now, I strongly believe that when we stick together and help each other out, we can each be better at what we do. And I don't mean just producing better results - but also being better at setting priorities, balancing work vs personal time, and generally feeling better about ourselves and our work.

To that end, I'm hosting 3 different types of calls this month:

  • Next Monday, January 13th, we've got a 2025 kick-off workshop. We'll talk about our businesses, articulate objectives, set goals and targets, and leave with a clear idea of what we need and want to get done this year. This is not a regular planning workshop, so you can skip if you're already clear on your goals and priorities for 2025!
    Register here!
  • While the 2025 kick-off call focuses on what we want to achieve this year, most of us need regular check-ins to stay on track (or adjust the course) - and to make a realistic plan for getting things done with minimum chaos and overwhelm. The first monthly planning workshop is for February and happens on January 31st - register here.
  • For those who work more efficiently when someone's watching, we meet every week for a coworking "power hour". The next one's on Tuesday 14th, and we're switching back to Mondays after that. View all the dates (and add them to your own calendar) here!

Just like before, attendance is completely free of charge and there is no hidden agenda here; I host these because they keep me grounded and on track... so it's a huge bonus that they happen to be useful (or even transformational) for other people as well. So join us, bring a friend, and tell others about these - the more, the merrier!

Questions about any of the above? Just hit reply!

Hi Reader, December just sneaked up on us. Seems like yesterday, it was full summer (literally for some of us, as temperatures have been a rollercoaster in some places). And this morning, I did a quick count: here at SmartAlpaca, we have exactly less than 3 weeks to go before we close for the holidays 😮 Technically, we all know the end of the year doesn't need to impact our businesses in any way - but somehow, whether we're taking time off or not, it always does. If it's not us working less...

Hi Reader, Summer is out of control. I just spent a couple of weeks in Belgium where it rained almost every single day - and I'm now back in Spain, where it's scorching hot and there's no real rain in sight, no matter how often we check the forecast. And I admit, I'm not great at working in the heat. On the bright side, it's almost September. Usually, that means people get back to business - there's some networking to be done, courses to be launched, new offers to be promoted. For me,...

Hi Reader, I can't be the only one this happens to - when life gets busy (usually with client work), everything that's not on my calendar falls of my radar. My blog? "I'm sure I've got enough scheduled in advance still". Which is usually the case for a couple of weeks... until it's not. Social media? "Not essential". And before I know it, I haven't kept up-to-date with what others were up to for months. Which means I've missed out on big life events no one thought to tell me about because it...
